The content of tours is tailored to the interests of each group and is suitable for all knowledge levels. You will be taken back in time to learn about the history and traditions of the Gunditjmara clan groups who lived here prior to colonisation. You’ll see and touch some native foods and botanicals that are growing still in this area and learn about significant sites, practices and customs.

Where to meet
Meet at Simsons Landing picnic table, (Simsons Landing Road, Nelson, Victoria). The tour departs and returns to the same location.
Parking and public toilets are available at Simsons Landing.
There will be a banner with Bocara Cultural Walking Tour allocated at the starting point of the tour.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the tour start time.
What to bring
The walking tour covers a mix of trails over a distance of 2km - on roads, gravel and sand.
The tour is suitable for those who can manage an ‘easy’ walking level, though we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and suitable clothing for bush walking.
We recommend also bringing:
- Sun protection - hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
- Rain jacket (depending on weather forecast)
- Comfortable walking shoes for gravel, road and sand tracks
- Water bottle
- Personal medications if required
Your guide is a qualified First Aider and will carry a first aid kit. Judy has a valid Working With Children check, National Police Check and is a licensed tour guide.
